Being a teacher is a noble and challenging profession, however, sometimes even the best teachers can face unexpected hurdles.

Unfortunately this was the case for one of our dedicated teacher members, who found themselves in a difficult situation when they were threatened with termination.
Having worked at the same school for several years, building relationships with students, colleagues, and the community, they were left feeling shocked and unsure of how to handle the threat. Knowing that they needed support they reached out to TPAN.

We assigned an expert case manager to help them thoroughly prepare for the show cause meeting, where they would have the opportunity to explain their situation and appeal the bizarre and disconcerting decision of their school.

By all accounts the meeting was a little nerve-wracking, but our member felt prepared and confident. Together with their case manager, they were able to present their case openly and directly.

With our help, they were able to find a positive resolution and continue their career in education by instead relocating to another school, where they are now happily settled in their new position, grateful for the support they received from us.

At the TPAN we provide support and representation for many teachers who may find themselves in difficult situations. We play a critical role in advocating for the rights of teachers and ensuring they receive fair treatment.

Whether you're a seasoned teacher or just starting out, it's important to have the support of TPAN behind you.

We believe that positive change in education starts with making sure every individual member is properly supported.
