How TPAN Helped a Member Clear Their Employment Records and Return to Teaching
Returning to teaching after a break can be an exciting but daunting experience. You may feel like you're starting over, or worry that you won't be able to keep up with the latest educational practices. However, what happens when you find out that there is a restriction on your eligibility for employment, and you had no idea?
This was the case for a member of TPAN, who took a break from teaching and later reapplied for a relief role. They received an email notification from the department of education, stating that they were unable to accept their application as a restriction had been placed on their eligibility for employment. This was the first time they had heard of any such restriction, and it left them feeling confused, frustrated and powerless.
Fortunately, they reached out to TPAN, and one of our experienced case managers took on their case. The case manager investigated the issue, and provided the member with the necessary support and guidance to address the issue. We advised them on the best course of action and worked tirelessly to remove the restriction from their records.
The member was relieved and grateful for our support, and expressed their gratitude for the timely and professional response that we provided.
Why is the TPAN different? We believe that real change in education STARTS with empowering frontline teachers, not bureaucrats.
